Design & Make: Final Piece

Prior to the assessment, I decided to loan a canon dslr to take some high definition photos of the sculpt. Below you can see the process summarised from the beginning, the final piece with its light on and my presentation of the sculpture for assessment.

As I'd have to present the sculpture in a lit room, I had to come up with a solution where the glowing light still had its effect. Below is a small sketch illustrating what I plan to do in the next few days before the assessment.

By my desk I have a large black plynth which I will create a metal, dome-like frame to go above. The sculpt will be placed inside it and a blanket draped over the top. Along with the salt lamp being within the sculpt, I've also decided to add a speaker playing 'What is Real' by Caberet Voltaire inside. This will muffle the music, creating a weird cult experience that you are just an observer to.

Update: Unfortunately, I went to the metal workshop on Monday morning to create the arched structure but they were completely out of stock for the rod I would've needed. Woodwork weren't able to create it either, so I decided to leave the sculpt on a plinth and simply turn off the lights and close the blinds when it came to presenting it.
